On Saturday, June 22, we celebrated the graduation of one pharmacist from our PGY-1 Community-Based Pharmacy Residency Program and four physicians from the NARBHA Institute Family & Community Medicine Residency Program. This is an exciting milestone for our residents and we are so proud of them! Watch a video featuring each graduate here:

In the last year, North Country hired at least ten former learners! One of the best ways to recruit talented, mission-driven staff is to hire people we’ve trained at North Country. When someone does a clinical rotation (or more) with us and we know they would be a good fit, we can encourage them to apply for a permanent role when they graduate. They also get to know our team, workflows, and programs, which can speed up their onboarding if they are hired. It’s a win-win. In fact, we are hiring TWO of our recent residency graduates to join North Country permanently!

Erinn Gallagher, DO received her Doctor of Osteopathy from A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in AZ (SOMA), where she completed much of her training in northern Arizona at North Country HealthCare. Dr. Gallager, from Valparaiso, Indiana, plans to stay in the southwest with North Country HealthCare at its Grand Canyon clinic serving as a primary care physician. In her free time, Dr. Gallager enjoys hula hoops, music, nature and being with her community of friends who have supported her throughout her medical training journey. Welcome, Dr. Gallagher!

Jeffery Quick, DO received his Doctor of Osteopathy from AZCOM (Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine) at Midwestern University in Mesa, AZ. Throughout his time at North Country HealthCare, Dr. Quick found special interest in mental health, caring for patients living with HIV, and working in urgent care settings. After graduation, Dr. Quick will continue his medical career with North Country HealthCare, serving as an urgent care physician in Williams and the Grand Canyon. Dr. Quick enjoys roasting his own coffee at home, running, hiking/rock climbing, and spends most of his free time playing race car video games with his 2-year-old son. He is also a huge Tampa Bay Lightning and Buccaneers fan. Welcome, Dr. Quick!
