Developing Dentists for
Whole Person Care

Director's Welcome

The NYU Langone Health AEGD Residency at North Country HealthCare (NCHC) is a 12-month, full-time program that provides an in-depth experience in general dentistry. NCHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), and Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH). This means that our residents train while providing services to our most at-need community members within a culture that is focused on mentoring the next generation of mission-centric providers.

The purpose of this residency is to develop  dentists who can competently provide broad general dentistry services in any locale, whether remote or urban.  The resident will work in a patient-centered medical home with medical providers, mental health providers, case managers and community health workers to provide whole person care.
