Improving Maternal Health Outcomes in Arizona

Virtual

April 23, 2024 | 1:30 – 2:30 PM

The Arizona Department of Health Services’ Maternal Mortality Review Program administers the Maternal Mortality Review Committee, a multidisciplinary team of external partners tasked with the review of maternal deaths in order to identify preventative factors and recommendations for systems-level changes. In this presentation, the audience will learn the key findings and prevention recommendations derived from the review of maternal deaths that occurred in 2018-2019, with an emphasis on the impact and strategies pertinent to rural communities. Because this work is not possible without our dedicated members, this presentation will also share how to get involved with the Maternal Mortality Review Committee.
