In response to the alarming rise in mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety, insomnia, addiction, and suicide – and the dearth of mental health providers – the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Arizona College of Medicine Tucson presents a fully virtual conference on Saturday, March 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
“Psychiatry for Non-Psychiatrists” features a host of renowned experts sharing practical and actionable knowledge, in 30 to 45 minute presentations, to help PCPs effectively manage a variety of mental conditions in primary care settings.
Access to mental health care is a right, not a privilege. We aim to empower PCPs with new clinical skills to enhance access to care, improve comorbid medical conditions, and reduce the stigma of seeking treatment for mental illness.
Cost: $100 for physicians, $75 for nurses/physician assistants, $50 community members (not CME eligible), $10 for residents/trainees/students (not CME eligible).
